  • Reinforce outreach courses and training by increasing the number of offered online courses and training services to reach maximum beneficiaries.

  • Expand awareness through the proper channels in youth and public on the levels of Life Support education.

  • Increase the provision of courses to serve community members such as heart saver and first aid in Arabic language.

Introduction

The Postgraduate Training Center (PTC), at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), was officially launched on June of 1996, with the principle of offering an advanced continuous medical education and to promote the professional development of healthcare providers.

Based on its mission to serve the community and raise the professional level of physicians and health care professionals, Deanship of Higher Education, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) represented in Postgraduate Training Center offers many training programs. As such, KSAU-HS organizes its locally and internationally accredited programs in cooperation with local and international experts and specialists such as: the American Heart Association (AHA), American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), Saudi Heart Association (SHA), Saudi Society for Respiratory Care (SSRC) and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS). It is worth mentioning that in year 2011, the Postgraduate Training Center (PTC) was awarded with highest Trainees' Number Record for Middle East and North Africa as International Training Center for Continuing Medical Education. Also was recognized as: Center of Excellence. Since then, the center's aims and goals was to maintain the mentioned recognition.
